This is a colour pencil drawing of yet another frog. I drew this drawing from a photograph out of Australian Geographic Magazine (I think) . I used white acrylic for the highlights because I found it soooooo difficult to leave areas of white. I might make some changes to the leaf in the background, (picked up the wrong green...Doh!) perhaps I can put the same shade into the rest of the leaf without doing too much damage?? I must say it looks much prettier in the scan that it does for real! It is almost the size of an A3 page.

Your frog drawing is amazing, Shelley. I like how you have combined different media to achieve the effect that you wanted.
THIS IS STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL!! I SWEAR I THOUGHT IT WAS A PHOTOGRAPH!!! GORGEOUS!!! ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!
This drawing is phenomenal! Great job! I, too, thought it was a photograph. :)
I've just added your blog to my "favorite places" and will be sure to visit again soon. I look forward to seeing more of your work.
All I can say is wow...I thought it was a photograph when I looked at it...awesome job....
Like the others, all I can say is "wow!" That's a stunning little frog...though I love all of your froggies.
How do you get it to look so shiny?
Outstanding work! BETTER than a photograph!
I love frogs. More specifically, I love YOUR frogs!
I think we can dub you the frog queen!! You do them so perfectly I expect to hear them croak when I see them!
Wow Shelly this is almost photographic!! I think it's the best one you've done yet. And the greens in the leaf look fine to me. Well done my friend!!
Oh my -- that's an awesome frog drawing! (Actually, I would call it perfect ...) You should be very proud of it.
I love your frogs, as a frog addict I think they are the best. Her in SA we dont have the lovely big tree frogs, but then I guess you dont in Victoria either but love it when I go to Qld and see them. Our little brownish tree frogs are very sweet here tho.
AMAZING, Shelly!!! What talent you have!
Wow. I've never been particularly fascinated by a froggy bottom before, but this one has me all aflutter...look at the detailed nubbly skin - just perfect! Oh - and the transluscent quality of the fingers - colored pencil, you say? Amazing!
It looks real... Really great work here :)
Wow - this is just amazing! Excellent job.
