Lanseer Dog - WIP

This is what I am working on at the moment. It is an oil copy of an Edwin Lanseer painting called "Dog looking out of a Kennel". This gorgeous little dog is an exercise in technique. I am not quite finished with it yet. It still needs a little work on the left eye. It isn't very big at 8" X 12' but has definitely been a challenge! I will post the finished product when its done!

Shelly,
That's a great study and it looks like you're learning so much. The fur is especially well rendered. Are you using a fan brush or ???

Am posting here but comment refers to all of your work. You have some very wonderful pieces here. I love your journals. They are so rich and fully developed. Your artist cards, too are so elaborate and engaging. I will be back ready for more!
